When smoking becomes a problem due to addiction, many smokers experience issues when trying to stop the habit. If possible, quitting smoking is what smokers can best do to themselves to boost their health. Every organ in our bodies is important. One might be tempted to turn to smoke e-cigarettes (electronic cigarettes). Reason being that most smokers think that e-cigarettes make it easier for them to transit from tobacco smoking to eventually stopping the smoking habit. The new research report says vaping is as bad as traditional smoking! Be wise. Here is why;

Vaping Puts Vital Immune System Cells at Stake

E-cigarette vapor can disable critical immune cells; found the research. At the same time, it increases chances of the lungs inflammation. Researchers now caution vapers to hold onto the widely held belief that e-cigarettes are safe.

E-cigarettes are by far much less harmful, advises Public Health England. It thus says people willing to stop smoking can consider them as an avenue to quitting cigarettes. A small experimental study carried out by a team led by Prof. David Thickett at the University of Birmingham has its report published online in the Journal Thorax.

The study took a different approach from the ones used previously. Previous researches have dwelled on the chemical composition of e-cigarettes. However, Prof. Thickett and his team came up with an improvised procedure to camouflage electronic smoking. They chose to use eight people who do not smoke and utilized their lung tissue samples.

The vapor caused inflammation on the tissues and alveolar macrophages cells which remove dust particles with damaging capacity were impaired. Among the eight lung tissue samples, some showed effects recorded from cigarette smokers. Others had results present in patients suffering from chronic lung disease.

The researchers say that these results are only in laboratory condition. They, however, encourage further research to understand thoroughly the long-term health effects of vaping. Recorded changes took just forty-eight hours only!

Bad to Health

While results indicate e-cigarettes are safer than traditional cigarettes, they may prove harmful in the long-term. Research is still in its early stages. E-cigarettes vapor has reduced numbers of carcinogenic molecules compared to traditional cigarettes smoke.

Prof. Thickett said electronic cigarettes are safer regarding cancer risk. He, however, observed that they still need time to know whether vaping for more than twenty years can cause Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

He stressed the importance of being cautious on believing that they are safe as other research reports show.

E-cigarettes contain carcinogenic molecules; this means one is not safe from the risk of contracting cancer by vaping. Be cautious!

Addiction

Traditional cigarettes, as well as e-cigarettes, contain nicotine. Researches indicate that nicotine is addictive like heroin and cocaine. Vapers are still even in a worse position; they can inhale more nicotine than they could from a traditional cigarette. One can buy cartridges which have extra-strength. These cartridges have a higher concentration of nicotine. An e-cigarette smoker can also increase voltage and get a higher hit of the substance.

There was an independent review of the latest evidence on e-cigarettes which was published by Public Health England. The evaluation concluded that e-cigarettes are far safer than smoking. Their effects on bystanders are negligible. The review even recommended e-cigarettes for a prescription to smokers wishing to quit the habit. The primary reason behind the advice is that vaping has helped many to quit tobacco smoking.

Martin Dockrell of Public Health England says that electronic cigarettes are not 100 percent free of risk, but they are less harmful than smoking, He goes ahead to encourage those wishing to quit smoking to proceed to vape without hesitation.

We are guided by the three reasons elaborated above, in our conclusion. Vaping has no difference with smoking. One is not safe if he/she ended up having inflamed lungs, poor health or even getting addicted to the e-cigarette. Try other methods that do not have the same effects as smoking when quitting smoking. Do not be fooled!
